Hiring is essential to your company’s growth and sustainability and as a result job boards have been created to help solve hiring challenges. These job boards are essentially databases. They enable candidates to search for opportunities and allow companies to attract applicants by posting jobs. Most job boards are free for the job seeker but charge companies to advertise. Some job boards offer a 30 day free trial and have different price packages based on your hiring needs.
Today’s job market is hotter than ever and the competition is as fierce as it’s ever been. So how do you decide which opportunities you should pursue? Whether you’re fresh out of college or you’ve been in the workforce for the past twenty years, compensation and culture are two things that should always be on your mind when searching for your next opportunity. But which one comes first?
Hiring sales professionals is difficult and in today’s competitive market it is that much more challenging. There is no room for error and an effective hiring process is required. Are you missing out on sales talent? Do you find yourself frustrated with your process? Do you find yourself making the recruitment process more complex than it has to be? You may be guilty of committing one of the seven deadly sins of hiring.
If you’re a Game of Thrones fan, like myself and most of my office, I hope you caught onto which famous saying I was eluding to. For those of you who are not Game of Throne fans, I was playing off (hopefully successfully) the show’s popular quote “winter is coming.” Throughout the series, between the battles and scandals and plays for power, the characters refer to an even larger and more ominous threat than each other. They keep saying that “winter is coming,” something they are dreading.

Entrepreneurship is in my blood. My father has owned a successful landscaping business for the last 30 years. It is safe to say he passed this quality down to me. In 2008 while in college, I was working part-time at a restaurant while balancing a full-time student schedule. On the weekends, I was detailing cars in my backyard for some extra money. I always had a strong passion for cars and an even stronger passion for clean ones.
